Tonk Municipal Commissioner, two others held with Rs 1L bribe

Jaipur: The Commissioner of Tonk Municipal Council, a junior clerk and a sanitation worker were held by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh on Friday.

“The complainant stated that Commissioner Anita Khichar was demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for passing the bills for photography, videography, stage programmes and other works done during the Banas Festival in Tonk. The complaint was verified and a trap was laid on Friday. The accused were caught redhanded with Rs 1 lakh and have been detained,” police said.
