Toll collection with FASTag to start at 38 toll plazas of 16 State highways for speedy travel

Jaipur: On the lines of NHAI, now toll collection is going to start with FASTag at 38 toll plazas of 16 state highways of the State.

RIDCOR at 32 toll plazas of 14 state highways & Rajasthan State Road and Construction Development Corporation (RSRDC) at 7 toll plazas of two state highways is going to start toll collection through FASTag as a pilot project.

This will also get rid of the jam situation on state highway and will also save fuel.

PWD department of the state has made preparations to implement the FASTag scheme on state highways. However, RSRTC has to spend Rs 60 to 70 lakh for starting other arrangements including FASTag reader at a toll plaza, whereas the daily toll collection remains around Rs 1 lakh at a toll plaza.
