Tiwari thanks ‘triple engine govt’ for MoUs
Jaipur: Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari on Thursday expressed gratitude to state govt for the Yamuna water agreement and he thanked triple engine govts. Hitting back at Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra who accused the BJP of misleading people on the agreement, he said that the Bhajan Lal govt has made an agreement under which 577 MCM water will be available from Yamuna. “577 MCM means Bisalpur dam should be filled 5 times,” he said.
“You (Dotasra) are calling the Bhajan Lal govt ‘Parchi ki Sarkar’ but your govt remained a ‘Kharche ki Sarkar’ for 5 years. You were locked in hotel for 5 years,” he said. Tiwari said that in 1994 there was an agreement on flood water of Yamuna in which the quantity of water was not fixed but in 2003, the water quantity was fixed.
