Tigress T-134 from Ranthambore TR shifted to Sariska

Jaipur: Tigress T-134 from Ranthambore was released on Thursday night in the Tehla area of Sariska forest in Alwar. The tigress will be now identified as ST-30 in Sariska. With this, the number of tigers has increased to 28 in Sariska. There are 14 tigresses, 8 tigers and 6 cubs. Earlier, questions were raised on shifting Tigress ST-29.

CCF RN Meena, DFO DP Jagawat and Dr Deendayal Meena arrived from Sariska with the staff. Tigers and tigresses brought from Ranthambore are ST 1, ST 2, ST 3, ST 4, ST 5, ST 6, ST 9, ST 10, ST 16 and ST 29, ST 30. Some of them have died but their numbers are increasing in Sariska. A few days ago, 2 cubs were spotted. T-134 will be released into Tehla after keeping it in enclosure for a few days.
