Tiger reserves to have week off every Wednesday from July 1 in Rajasthan
Jaipur: Tiger reserves in Rajasthan will have a one-day weekly off from July 1, a decision of the forest department which has been welcomed by wildlife lovers.
However, hotel industry stakeholders are a little bit disappointed with this, as the closure of one day in the week will have an impact on the business.
The forest department has decided to keep tiger reserves closed for tourists activities once in a week as per the guidelines of NTCA.
Additional chief secretary Forest Shikhar Agrawal said that tiger reserves will remain closed on each Wednesday from July 1.
Earlier, an important decision was taken to close the full-day and half-day safari in Tiger Reserve and Leopard Reserve and now wildlife experts are welcoming the decision of weekly off in Tiger Reserve on Wednesday.
