Third Indian Horticulture Summit begins
Jaipur: Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Dr. Kirodilal Meena said that the ERCP project will transform the agriculture and horticulture sector in the state.
“The fate of farmers in 13 districts of eastern Rajasthan will change due to availability of abundant water for irrigation and drinking water,” he said while inaugurating a threeday National Horticulture Conference here. He said that PM Modi has given a gift in form of ERCP.
The minister also said that along with saving water, its proper use will have to be encouraged. He said that with the approval of the ERCP project, 13 districts of the state will be provided adequate water for drinking as well for irrigation purposes by connecting five rivers.
“This will make it possible to increase the productivity of horticulture in Eastern Rajasthan,” he said.
