The ‘inside details’ of the IAS transfer list!

Jaipur: According posting to fourteen of the sixteen officials who have been promoted to IAS from RAS, merely 16 days back, is a major development. Perhaps never have orders been issued in the past at such a pace. But this too has happened for the first time that none of the officers have been appointed as Collector. Notably, Hanuman Mal Dhaka and Sanchita Vishnoi has not been given posting.

Rajan Vishal’s posting in CMO is a topic of discussion as he has served in CMO from Dec 2018 to Jan 2022. Now, as Special Secretary, he will take charge of the ‘War Room’. Till now Gaurav Goyal was spearheading this responsibility and it is believed that his return is due to his good performance for the three years he served in CMO.

Bhanu Prakash Yeturu and Vishwa Mohan Sharma have not been given much attention. Bhanu has returned to Rajasthan cadre in Sept 2021 after carrying out his home state deputation in Andhra Pradesh and in past twenty months, he has been transferred half a dozen times. Similarly, Vishva Mohan Sharma has been transferred for the seventh time under the current dispensation and has now been posted in RUDA, a cold bag posting.

Notably, among the ‘promotees’, five officials have been appointed as Joint Director in various departments. Kumar Pal Gautam, Excise Commissioner in Udaipur and Bal Mukund Asawa were not looking eye to eye and now he has been posted in Revenue as JS. In JMC Heritage, Rajendra Kumar Verma had got embroiled in controversy and along with several councillors, even the chairman was lobbying for his transfer. Hence Verma has now been posted in Water Resource Department as JS. Jagjeet Singh Monga has been appointed as JS of Energy department and Monga is the sixth JS in the Energy department in the current govt and in past, there have been times when the department has functioned without a JS. Arvind Poswal has received a ‘jump’ and has been appointed as Collector of an important divisional headquarter like Udaipur. For the past four and a half years, Poswal has continuously functioned as Collector, first of Rajsamand, then of Chittorgarh and now of Udaipur. He is the only officer in the current government who has served for this long as Collector.

Peeyush Samariya was appointed as Chittorgarh Collector in January 2022, but even before he could join, he was retransferred to Nagaur as Collector. Now he has finally come to Chittorgarh.

Ansh Deep has been transferred for seventh time in this govt and he has served as Collector of Barmer, Pali and Ajmer. Now again, he has been appointed as SriGanganagar Collector. Officials are trying to find the reason as to why he was shuffled from the post of IG, Stamps and Registration at Ajmer, within just two months into this posting.

Bachanesh Agrawal was Special Assistant to Minister Parsadi Lal Meena for four and a half years, but owing to his promotion, his ‘bond’ woth Minister has been broken. He has now reached ‘Kar Bhawan’.

Appointing T Shubhamangala as Project Director in SAMSA is an interesting development as till now, senior IAS have been posted on this post whereas Shubhamangala is a junior IAS of 2018 batch who received the first posting in September 2021, after training and long leave.
