Thakur’s ‘billion dollar’ plan to generate money for I&B Ministry!
Jaipur: CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Bharat24- Vision of New India and First India & CMD, First India News, Dr Jagdeesh Chandra met I&B Minister Anurag Thakur in Jaipur on Wednesday. Interestingly, Thakur has now thought of an initiative to earn billions from dept’s idle properties. Under this, survey will be conducted in the entire country like railway properties of vacant lands of Doordarshan and All India Radio stations. After the survey, a plan will be made for their auction. Similarly, instructions have been issued for existing Doordarshan & All India Radio stations with a plan to get rid of 2 lakh square feet of land from its existing premises. Notably, a 3-storey Doordarshan Kendra is located on Peddar Road in Mumbai & according to plan, similar parts of other big properties will also be made free of possession & then government will put them on rent on merit.
