Syndicate meeting: No 10% hike in fee; budget of Rs 431 crore passed

Jaipur: Several important proposals including no 10% increase in fees were passed in syndicate meeting in Rajasthan University on Wednesday. In the meeting that lasted for about 6 hours, a budget of Rs 431 crores was passed for 2023-24 and UGC Regulation 2018 was passed. It was also decided to appoint former VC of Agri Varsity Dr Lakshminarayan Harsh as a member of VC search committee.

The syndicate also passed a proposal to keep RGHS facility optional for personnel appointed before 2004. UGC Regulation 2018 has been passed, due to which the way for PhD entrance test has been opened.

Proposal to give 10750 sqm land of Maharaja College’s Gokhale hostel for IPD tower was rejected.
