Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy : Goa win, Arjun Tendulkar flops!

Jaipur: In the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Cricket Trophy, Goa beat Tripura by five wickets. Tripura scored 8/114 runs while Goa won the match in 18.1 overs. Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar also played for the Goa team but he proved to be the most expensive and remained empty handed. He lost 20 runs in three overs and not a single wicket. Arjun left Mumbai and this time is playing from Goa. Arjun got a chance to play a match in Jaipur on Tuesday. Tunish Savkar scored 36 runs for Goa while KD Eknath scored 34 runs. Delhi made the first and smart use of the ‘Impact Player’ option to outplay Manipur by 71 runs in their opening match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy here on Tuesday. Opener Hiten Dalal smashed a 27-ball 47 to push Delhi to 167 for seven. The Nitish Rana led squad then decided to replace Dalal with off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen, who took a couple of wickets in his three over spell as Manipur were bundled out for 96 in response.
