Summer ready: PHED appoints officers incharge for water mgmt

Jaipur: The Department of Public Health Engineering and groundwater department have appointed officers- incharge for all regions and districts for water augmentation efforts during the upcoming summer season. These officers will ensure thorough inspection and monitoring of drinking water conservation activities. By March 31 these officers will conduct their first round of visits to their designated areas, followed by monthly inspections thereafter to ensure effective implementation. PHED secretary Dr. Samit Sharma, stated that the designated officers will ensure the resolution of issues related to districts or regions by coordinating with relevant authorities at headquarters. Additionally, they will assess the water transportation issues faced by urban & rural areas. If water transportation has been initiated in these areas, it will be imperative to review the monitoring mechanism in place.
