Sub inspector in ACB net for taking Rs 20K in thana

Jaipur: The Jaipur team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed SI Ashok Meena of the Sodala police station on Friday while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The complainant had stated that SI Ashok demanded Rs 30,000 in exchange for assisting in a case.

When the complainant refused to pay the money, the SI began threatening him. On which the victim filed a complaint with the ACB headquarters. ACB executed the trap operation in the presence of NIA.

SI Ashok Meena was shamelessly receiving bribes in front of NIA and Commissionerate officials.

The ACB team is now interrogating Ashok Meena and probing the roles of the other accused; nonetheless, the accused will be presented in court on Saturday.
