Strike ends, sanitation workers to return today

Jaipur: The sanitation workers who were on strike for the last four days have called off the strike after talks with officials. The govt has made it clear that Valmiki Samaj will be given priority in the recruitment of 30,000 sweepers.

A delegation of the workers held talks with LSG dept’s secretary Jogaram and other officials at secretariat after which Sanyukt Valmiki - Shramik Sangh announced to end strike. In the meeting, almost all the demands of the employees have been agreed upon. It was also assured that the govt will not take any action against any employee.
The sanitation workers will return to work from Saturday.
