Stray dog shot dead with 22-airgun shots, FIR filed

Bassi (Jaipur): A dog died after it was allegedly shot at with an airgun in Bassi area, the police said on Wednesday. Police informed a case has been registered at Tunga Police Station against the accused of cruelty against the dog.

“The accused has been identified as Sawant Singh (55), a resident of Malukpura in Bassi. The incident occurred around 7 am on Tuesday. Accused fired 22-gun shots at the dog from his airgun after he entered his farmland. The injured dog was taken to the animal hospital located on Panch Batti, where he succumbed to injuries,” police added.

Animal activist Mariyam Abu Hedri reached hospital & filed an FIR.
