Statewide mock drills held to keep coronavirus at bay

Jaipur: With rising Covid cases across the country, including Rajasthan, preparations are afoot to prevent reinfection in government hospitals and deal with any disaster. In compliance with the instructions of the Central Government, preparations were reviewed on Monday through mock drills in hospitals across the State. Sampling, medicines, ICU, oxygen plant and ventilator were tested in hospitals.

Mock drill was also conducted at the SMS Hospital here. Of the total 2,570 beds in the hospital, 1751 oxygen beds are working, while there are 381 ICU beds and 371 ventilators.
