State forest dept exhibits history of tigers in Mysuru

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Forest Department has exhibited the history of tigers of Ranthambore National Park in the three-day mega event in Mysuru (K’taka), being held to commemorate 50 yrs of Project Tiger.

The forest department has put up a stall wherein information about the history of tigers in Rajasthan and the increase in their number in last 50 years are being shared. R’bore Field Director Seduram Yadav and DCF Manas Singh are sharing information with the people visiting the stall. Notably, more than 200 tigers were born in Rajasthan during these 50 years. The number of tigers is 75 in Ranthambore, 28 in Sariska, 4 in Karauli, 3 in Dholpur and two each in MTR and RVTR.
