SPs rebuked for not tightening noose on history-sheeters

Jaipur: DGP M L Lather on Friday reprimanded district SPs on their poor performance and for not taking directions of the PHQ to run a campaign against history sheeters seriously. Lather was particularly disappointed with the performance of the entire Bikaner range.

The DGP held a review meeting in which he asked all the SPs to brief about their achievements in the last six months. Most of the SPs, barring one or two, were not able to give a convincing response. He reprimanded the officer for poor performance. Lather expressed strong displeasure for not taking the campaign started by the Police Headquarters for catching historysheeters seriously. The top cop was unhappy with the performance of the entire Bikaner range. According to him, action under the NDPS act in the range was not as per the expectations. Most of the cases of drug smuggling take place in the Bikaner range. Lather was also unhappy with Bhilwara SP who could not give satisfactory answers to his questions.
