SPEAKER’S INITIATIVE FLOURISHES, QUESTION HOUR ENDS BEFORE TIME

Jaipur: Assembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi’s initiative of taking up all the questions during the Question Hour has delivered well and all the questions are being taken up daily in the House. The Question Hour ended before time on Friday as all the questions were asked. Speaker CP Joshi and other members expressed happiness on this.

Joshi has introduced the method where the questions of absent MLAs are asked by other MLAs, Ministers and even the Speaker himself takes up such questions.

“The change that was made is to ask questions. The questioner used to ask two questions, the Leader of the Opposition used to ask one question. The party did not appoint the LoP as such the opportunity was missed. Thank you very much to all of you so that we make the Question Hour more important so that the benefit of the government’s schemes is taken to the public,” said Joshi on Friday in the House.
