Jaipur: In a new initiative, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Dr CP Joshi has started asking the starred questions of absent MLAs during the Question Hour. He has started taking up the starred questions and asked other MLAs to take up questions of absent MLAs of both the ruling party and the Opposition on Friday. Joshi also asked supplementary questions to the ministers.

Dr Joshi also provided an opportunity to the MLAs who came after the question number was announced during the Question Hour in the House to ask questions later. With this new initiative of the Speaker, answers to all the questions from the list of starred questions were presented in the House.

On Friday, when many MLAs remained absent during the Question Hour, the Speaker himself had to ask questions and also asked other MLAs to ask questions.

On behalf of BJP MLA Kailash Chand Meghwal, Joshi asked a question related to the vacant posts of patwaris in Shahpura assembly constituency. He also asked question on behalf of Ved Solanki about reservation for Divyangs in nongovernment areas.

MLAs Ramniwas Gawriya and Hakam Ali also did not come to the House during the Question Hour. Shafia Zubair asked questions on behalf of Ramnivas Gawriya.
