SoP issued: No case on docs without probe

Jaipur: Rajasthan Police will not register cases against doctors and health workers without a probe. The complaint against them will be registered in daily diary and the FIR will be registered only if there is gross negligence.

After the suicide of Dr Archana Sharma in Dausa’s Lalsot, the home dept has now issued an SOP regarding the case of assault on doctors and health workers. It is worth noting that after the FIR was registered Dr Archana Sharma, came under heavy stress and committed suicide. The state govt said that the relatives of the patient register criminal cases against doctors after getting incomplete information on Internet, which leads to medicos getting mentally harassed & affecting their efficiency.
