Six including four minors drown in separate incidents

Rajsamand: Six people including four minors drowned in separate incidents in Rajsamand, Tonk, and Jaipur districts on Sunday. Two minors and a youth drowned after immersion of Ganesh idols in the Banas river passing through Namana village of Nathdwara police station area of Rajsamand district. ASP Shivlal Bairwa said that the deceased are identified as Lucky Vaishnav (14), Chintu Sen (22), and Jatin alias Jeetu Khatik (15). All three are residents of Housing Board, Kankroli. After the completion of the ritual of immersion, everyone left but the trio entered water for taking bath and selfie and drowned.

In Tonk, two sisters drowned while bathing at a water-filled granite quarry in Diggi area on Sunday. Police informed that the deceased has been identified as Ashu (10) and her younger sister Kannu (8), residents of Dungri Kalan Village in Diggi town. A youth on Sunday drowned in Hathni Kund inside the forests of Nahargarh under the Brahmpuri police station area. The incident took place around 2 pm when four friends reached Hathni Kund for a picnic and decided to take bath.
