Single Window Clearance System for biomass based power projects now: Arya

Dr Rituraj Sharma Jaipur: Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya while presiding over a virtual meeting of the State Level Empowered Committee (SSLEC) at the government Secretariat here on Monday said that a Single Window Clearance System has been constituted for in-principle approved biomass based power projects.

Arya said that the state government had issued Biomass Policy-2010 to promote power generation from non-conventional energy sources.

RREC director NS Nirvana said that the three projects proposed by the committee are M/s VCA Power Private Limited (14.90 MW) Village Dhod, Sikar, M/s TNA Renewable Energy Private Limited (14.90 MW) Village Dugrana tehsil.

Bhadra, Hanumangarh and M/s Nano Energy Private Limited (8 MW) village Shaitan Singh Tehsil Lohawat, Jodhpur have been approved.

He said that the firms have been given 36 months to set up the project. Nirvana said that the firms have obtained land tax, power evacuation approval and NOC of water.

“Electricity generated from these projects will be purchased by Rajasthan Energy Development Corporation.

Mustard husk, garbage and agricultural residues are used in such power projects creating employment opportunities for the farmers and unemployed in rural areas.”
