Shyam Rangeela fined Rs 11K for feeding Nilgai at Jhalana
Jaipur: Comedian Shyam Rangeela, popular for mimicking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was fined Rs 11,000 for violating the Indian Forest Act 1953 and Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
Rangeela had uploaded a video on his YouTube channel on April 13, in which he was seen getting down from the car and feeding Nilgai in the Jhalana Leopard Reserve.
On April 15, Regional Forest Officer Janeshwar Chaudhary had issued a notice to Rangeela, who appeared in Jhalana on Monday and accepted his mistake. The Forest Department imposed a fine of Rs 11,000 on Rangeela.
