Shun biases, focus on public: CM to officials
Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday urged the officials not to harbor biases and to avoid political discrimination and prioritise even the smallest issues faced by public. The CM was addressing the RAS Association Adhiveshan and Oath Ceremony at RAS Club here. In his remarks, he criticised certain officials for merely clock-watching and highlighted the duty of resolving problems.
Sharma also targeted the previous Congress govt for neglecting resource allocation, stating that districts were created politically without proper funding and resources. He stressed that every official should dedicate at least one hour to meet individuals bringing issues to them, suggesting this practice would reduce the number of people seeking assistance.
The CM acknowledged the RAS Association’s concerns regarding the lack of resources and office space. He reassured attendees that their demands, including the need for security arrangements for SDOs and timely promotions, would be addressed. He also promised to remove restrictions on filling old ACRs that hinder promotion to IAS.
