Second tour of 'Palace on Wheels' cancelled due to fewer bookings
Jaipur: The luxury train ‘Palace on Wheels’, which was recently started on an O&M basis, was cancelled on its second tour due to few bookings of tourists. “The inaugural tour of the royal train began with 56 tourists, but the second round, which was scheduled to start from Wednesday, was cancelled due to nonavailability of bookings from tourists. The train will now leave from Safdarjung Railway Station on October 11 for the next round of the season,” informed an official. Officials also added that excellent booking has also been received for the November-December tourist season. Notably, an agreement for five years has been signed with Cube Construction and Easy Toll to operate and maintain the luxury train.
