Jaipur: ACB Tonk arrested sarpanch Pradeep Sharma of gram panchayat Sitarampura and broker Ramnaresh Saini while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 80,000 on Sunday.

ADG of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hemant Priyadarshi (Acting Director General) said that the complainant said that the sarpanch demanded Rs 2 lakh from him in lieu of passing the pending bills.

The complaint was verified under the supervision of ACB Jaipur Deputy Inspector General of Police Randhir Singh and a trap was laid. Sharma and his broker Ramnaresh Saini were arrested while taking a bribe amount.

Searches are being conducted at the residence and other locations of the accused and a case will be registered.
