Sanskrit, culture crucial for national unity: Guv
Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday asked universities to play a crucial role in promoting Sanskrit and culture under the new education policy. He stressed the importance of integrating ancient wisdom with contemporary knowledge and highlighted the nation’s unity and collective spirit as paramount. Speaking at convocation of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, Mishra urged everyone to contribute towards building a self-reliant India through education.
Highlighting the significance of Sanskrit education in disciplines such as yoga, science, scriptures, Indian culture, and values, the Governor underscored its vital role in personal development. He emphasized that such education, if widely accessible, would be unstoppable in propelling progress.
Chief guest Swami Rambhadracharya Maharaj of Chitrakoot made a big prediction, saying, “For the fourth time, Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of the country.” Swami Rambhadracharya is the Shankaracharya of Shri Chitrakoot Tulsipeeth.
Professor Ramsevak Dubey, Vice Chancellor of the University, noted that alongside traditional Sanskrit knowledge, the institution is actively promoting other subjects like computer science, economics and environmental science among others.
