Rules will be releaxed to increase teams in Rural Olympics: Poonia

Jaipur: Rajasthan State Sports Council President and Olympian Krishna Poonia on Monday took information about the preparations about the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympics, starting on August 29 at SMS Stadium, and gave necessary directions the district sports officers, incharges and coaches across the state.

Poonia said that 30 lakh women, men, children and elders will playing together in the Rural Olympics. To increase the number of teams, there was talk about forming multiple teams and necessary amendments to the rules. She said that a budget is to be allocated for organising sports competitions at gram panchayat and block level.
