RTDC to outsource 38 units on Op & Maintenance mode
Jaipur: The Tourism Development Corporation is making efforts to increase its revenue and bring the closed or lossmaking units back into the mainstream. For this, preparations are underway to give 38 units to the private sector on an operating and maintenance basis. The units have been identified and proposals may be invited next week to give them to the private sector.
Out of the 38 units to be given to the private sector, 26 units are currently closed while 12 units are being operated but all of them are running in losses. The proposals have been finalized at the level of Tourism Corporation’s Managing Director Anupama Jorwal. Now, after the permission of Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari proposals will be sought from the private sector.
It is believed that after giving these units to the private sector on an operating and maintenance basis, not only will the revenue of the Tourism Corporation increase, but these dilapidated units will also get a new life and employment opportunities will also be created.
