RTDC to operate PoW for first three months

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation will operate the luxury train, Palace on Wheels, for the first three months once it becomes operational. During this, proposals will be sought on operation and maintenance (O&M) model from private agencies. Advance booking of 50 cabins for the first tour before October 12 has been done. Although the cabinet had approved the O&M model, permission of the tourism corporation is necessary for operation. An agreement will also have to be made with the railways and the tourism corporation will also pay for the haulage fee.
