RSRTC re-tenders buying of 590 new buses for dept

Jaipur: The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) will soon add 590 new buses to its fleet. Following the tender for procuring new buses was cancelled by the roadways administration recently, a re-tender has been floated by the Corporation for purchasing the buses. Officials informed that these 590 buses include 340 blueline buses, 150 non-ac star line buses and 100 non-ac sleeper buses.

“The pre-bid meeting will be held on July 26. After 30 days of the issue of tender, the tender will be opened in August. It is expected that the work order for new buses will be given in the month of August itself,” said an official. Notably, even before the tender for electric buses was cancelled.

Now, when assembly elections are scheduled later this year, the officials are working hard to complete the tender process and purchase the buses.
