RSRTC CMD Verma to address Conference @ Univ of Nottingham!

Jaipur: Sandeep Verma, CMD, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, has been invited as a Speaker at the 11th Public Procurement-Global Revolution Conference being organised by the University of Nottingham in United Kingdom in June this year.

Verma, an IAS officer from the 1993 batch, Rajasthan cadre, has been invited to present a paper on “Procurement and Infrastructure” on how adequate competition and timely completion of infrastructure projects and works can be ensured.

He has earlier worked in the Ministry of Defence in the Government of India and in the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan, where he had taken several steps for timely resolution of project hindrances, so that time and cost overruns can be avoided in large infrastructure projects.

He also initiated several steps in PHED in Rajasthan that attracted increased competition from bidders all over India in mega projects in the Department resulting in savings of hundreds of crores in the contract award.

He is also recognised by the Government of India as a contributor to an important set of instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance, GoI in October 2021 addressing various practical issues of concern for timely completion of infrastructure projects.
