Rs 7,896 cr for Raj’s power sector: Khattar
Jaipur: The Central Government has approved Rs 7,896 crore for infrastructure development in Rajasthan’s power sector. Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, visiting Jaipur, stated that this funding under the RDSS scheme will help strengthen Rajasthan Discoms. The amount will be used for new 33/11 KV grid substations and feeder improvements.
Highlighting the budget provisions, Khattar noted that special schemes for the poor & street vendors have been introduced. The budget also includes Rs 20,000 cr for capital expenditure in the energy sector, with 5% allocated to Rajasthan.
