Rs 6,200 crore committed for petroleum sector: Dr Subodh

Jaipur: It is the result of a better environment for investment in the state that vigorous investment is now being received in the petroleum sector as well. ACS mines and petroleum Dr. Subodh Aggarwal said that due to departmental efforts, Rs. 20,000 crore by Cairn Vedanta, Rs 663 crore by Oil India, Rs 1050 crore by ONGC in the petroleum sector, and Rs 1125 crore by Focus Energy under Invest Rajasthan have been committed.

He said that all four investors have started bringing the investments to the ground and works of the companies worth Rs 6,200 crore have started. The largest investment in the petroleum sector is being made by Cairn Vedanta. Exploration and other development works are being done in PML and PEL blocks in Barmer and Jalore districts against the investment agreement of Rs 20,000 crore of which works worth Rs 5671 crore have been done.

Due to this, the exploration and mining work in the petroleum sector has gained momentum in the state.
