Rs 500 crore black money, 50 kg gold kept in pvt lockers: Meena
Jaipur: BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Meena on Friday alleged that Rs 500 crore black money and 50 kg gold are kept in 100 private lockers in Jaipur and demanded the police to open the safes. He initially refused to disclose whom the lockers belong to but later said that 50 of the lockers were functional and ten of them belonged to some officials.
Meena alleged that black money made from paper leak, IT scam, JJM scam is there in the lockers.
He remained there for nearly two hours and demanded from the officers of police, income tax department and other agencies to intervene and open the lockers.
Later, teams of the IT department, ED, and ACB also reached the spot to check the lockers.
After some time, police reached there and Meena told reporters that the main gate of the premises where the lockers are located has been sealed by the police for security purposes. The lockers are operated by a firm in a commercial building on MI Road.
Prior to this, he alleged that Congress leader Dinesh Khodaniya and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party leader Spardha Choudhary were involved in the appointment of Babulal Katara as the member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission who leaked papers.
Katara has already been arrested and has been interrogated by the ED in connection with a paper leak case.Meena said that Khodaniya, close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was behind the paper leak cases and got Katara appointed as the RPSC member. Meena claimed that Dinesh Khodniya is a close confidante of Chief Minister Gehlot and knows secrets about his black money.
