Rs 130 cr approved for Rural, Urban Olympics

Jaipur: The Urban Olympic Games are set to commence with the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games. In wake of the Rural Olympics’ huge success and the enthusiasm of the players, nearly Rs 130 crore has been approved by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for the event, and the Rural and Urban Olympic Games will be organised simultaneously.

The Games will begin on June 23, 2023. The online registration process will start soon. Statelevel competitions are proposed to be held on Sports Day (August 29, 2023). Notably, the Chief Minister had announced Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympic Games in the budget 2023-24.

The prime objective of the state government is to create an atmosphere for sports in rural and urban areas connecting people to the fields.
