RR awaits permission from Sports dept

Jaipur: SMS Stadium will have the second cricket match of IPL on Thursday but Rajasthan Royals has not yet received the construction permission from the sports department so far.

There was a dispute in the first cricket match regarding the permission and VIP stand in the stadium was sealed by Sports Minister Ashok Chandna. However, the controversy came to an end later.

Secretary of the Sports department Naresh Kumar Thakral said that Rajasthan Royals has not got permission so far. An application was filed on behalf of Rajasthan Royals regarding permission and file has been approved by the Sports Minister Ashok Chandna. The permission is likely to be granted on 27th April. The IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will be played on Thursday, where the hosts will look to break their losing streak in front of the home crowd at the SMS stadium.
