ROLE OF OFFICERS & EMPLOYEES VITAL IN BUDGET EXECUTION: CM

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot while addressing the review meeting of budget announcements at Government Secretariat on Wednesday, said that officers and employees play an important role in the successful implementation of budget announcements. “The officers and employees of State have done a commendable job in putting the public welfare schemes on the ground. It is the result of the commitment of the personnel that most of the previous budget announcements have been successfully implemented. This time’s announcements should be made available to masses. Even on delivery, work should be done fast,” he said.

Gehlot said that we have proposed to bring social security schemes in the form of law in the budget, so that needy persons and families can get entitlementbased social security. “Various policies and acts have also been announced in budget to provide financial support. These include Rajasthan Farmers Debt Relief Act, Rajasthan Logistics Service Delivery Corporation, Gig Workers Welfare Act, Bio Technology Policy-2023, Mahatma Gandhi Minimum Guarantee Income Scheme, CM Lok Kalakar Protsahan Yojana etc. The work of implementing these policies should be completed fast so that the public can get their benefits at earliest,” he said. Gehlot said, “A provision has been made in the budget to provide 2000 units of electricity free of cost to the farmers every month. Keeping in view the limited water resources of the state, it is necessary to encourage drip and sprinkler irrigation. The work of completing various irrigation projects and construction of farm ponds, diggi etc. is being done on priority by the state government,” he said.

Meanwhile, CS Usha Sharma said, “The budget announcements have been classified into 3 categories. Schemes in A-category, require administrative approval. For Schemes in B-category, the consent of the Personnel and Finance Department is required. Then there are those schemes in the C-category, in which approval from the Finance Department is necessary due to the financial burden. On the basis of this classification, all the departments are preparing their action plans.”
