Rohingyas and Bangladeshis’ issue raised during session

Jaipur: The issue of Rohingya and Bangladeshis was raised in the Assembly on Wednesday. During Question Hour, Independent MLA Chandrabhan Aakya raised the issue and said that leases were given to Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in slums in Chittorgarh. On this, UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra clarified saying that he will cancel the lease and take legal action against the culprits.As per reports of intelligence agencies, there were about 590 Bangladeshi infiltrators in Raj by Dec 2023. Of these, 576 infiltrators are living in Jaipur, 8 in Ajmer & 6 in Alwar detention centre. It will be a challenge for govt to send them back.
