Roadways buses in bad shape, no hope in sight for new slot

Jaipur: The condition of Rajasthan Roadways is deteriorating. Routes on which four to five buses used to run earlier, now there is only one bus. People are also finding it difficult to get buses for several towns People are forced to travel in private buses, which is very expensive. Biggest reason for the shortage of buses in roadways is new buses were not procured. If the roadways do not have contract buses, then the situation will be even worse. The situation now is such that about 10 percent of the total fleet of buses are scrap. The condition of the buses of Rajasthan Roadways is worrying. Incidents like brake failure and buses stopping in the middle of the road have become common now. Even the luxury buses are in bad shape. The situation has become such that roadways buses are on the roads. Rajasthan Roadways, currently, has a fleet of 3000 buses of which 300 buses are scrap. The fleet of roadways is continuously decreasing.
