RHB to incorporate ‘energy efficiency’ in future projects!

Jaipur: Rajasthan Housing Board will develop its under construction & future plans on 'Energy Efficiency Mode.' RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora has instructed the concerned engineers in this regard. Arora addressed a two-day workshop of division’s Engineers on 'Energy Efficiency in the Housing Board' on Friday on behalf of RHB and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC). The Commissioner said that energy efficient buildings can be made with efficient design & better management.

"So that energy consumption can be reduced by about 40%. Keeping in view the increasing needs of energy, we have to emphasize on energy saving mode," Arora said and directed the Engineers to conduct a detailed study of Energy Conservation Building Code of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for this & stressed upon getting the projects 'star- rated' by BEE. "Along with the MLA housing project currently under construction by the Board, other important multi-storey housing schemes are being build according to the green building concept," Arora informed. During the workshop, experts from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation, Master Trainer of Bureau of Energy Efficiency Ashu Gupta & Consultant Project Architect of BEE Aditya Singh, Project Engineers Kunal Jagdale & Ravi Shankar Trivedi presented Energy Conservation Building Code for Commercial & Residential Buildings.
