REET: Teacher held for attempt to appear as dummy

Barmer: In the REET paper leak case, an absconding school teacher identified as Pramod Kumar, who was all set to appear in exam as a dummy candidate, was caught on Monday.

A case against him was lodged at Dhorimanna police station on Sept 25 by the SOG. SOG, however, caught original candidate but the dummy candidate was successful in escaping.

For the past four months, the accused was on the run. On Monday police caught him and produced before the court to take him into police custody.

Pramod Kumar is a resident of Nagaur and currently posted at govt primary school at Koja in Barmer. He was supposed to appear as a dummy candidate instead of Paburam of Koja.

But a day before exam Barmer police had busted the nexus that was planning to field dummy candidate in REET. After which Kumar failed to appear in exam as a dummy. Later he escaped after a case lodged against him.
