Record passenger footfall at Jaipur International Airport in Dec 2022

Jaipur: Passenger traffic at Jaipur International Airport witnessed a record growth of 15 per cent in the month of December 2022. of the total 4,96,770 passengers, 4,53,884 were domestic and 36,597 were international travellers. In November 2022, total passenger traffic was 4,31,691. As per airport officials, the per day average passenger traffic in the month of November was 15,000 and trend is likely to continue in coming months.

“In December, passenger traffic increased by record 15 per cent. Firstly, travel has become easy with new facilities, airlines and buffet of retail options. Secondly, tourist and festive season is on its peak. So, more and more people are travelling. The growth trend is likely to stay in the coming winter months,” said senior officials at Jaipur Airport. In November 2022, a total of 4,31,691 travelled through Jaipur airport of which 3,94,550 were domestic and 37,141 were international travellers. Besides, 2023 being the election year the political movements is also on the rise.
