RCA selecting player on a Min’s call raises eyebrows
Jaipur: The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has selected Bharatpur’s Ramavatar Gurjar, who hasn’t played a single match for Bharatpur senior team after a minister allegedly made a phone call to RCA Ad-hoc Committee Convenor.
Questions have been raised about the role of senior selector Parminder Singh but other selectors like Bijendra Yadav, Zakir Hussain, Amar Singh Negi, and Anoop Dave remained mute spectators. Meanwhile, Sachin Yadav, who scored 486 runs in the Colvin Shield and was the second-highest runscorer in the tournament, was ignored.
