RAS Aqeel Ahmed quits citing family reasons

Jaipur: Speculations were rife after the resignation of RAS officer Aqeel Ahmed went viral on social media that he was joining politics.

In the resignation letter which went viral, he has requested the government to accept it immediately, citing family reasons. Now, whether to accept it or not will be decided at the CM level. Ahmed had applied for VRS earlier but it was not approved. He was the CEO in Waqf Board but was shifted to the post of Deputy Director, WCD, Banswara in the transfer list dated 31st May.
