RAJ’S DAUGHTER WINS NATIONAL LAURELS!
Jaipur: There is a saying in Hindi, “Poot Ke Paon Palne Mein Hi Dikh Jaate Hain.” This saying fits perfectly on Rajasthan’s daughter - IRS Prateeti Goyal, a 2016 batch officer who in merely 5 years of her service has proved her abilities and maturity as a result of which she has been honoured at the national level. She is the daughter of senior IAS of Rajasthan cadre - Pawan Kumar Goyal. At present Prateeti is serving as Deputy Commissioner CGST ( Anti Evasion) and has been serving on this post for the past 18 months. But in these 18 months, she has given a stellar performance. On Friday, July 1, when the 5th anniversary of GST was celebrated at Delhi’s Vighyan Bhawan, officials who gave an outstanding performance were facilitated and one such officer was Prateeti. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman facilitated Prateeti with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ and interestingly, she was the lone officer from Mumbai Zone who has been facilitated.
Goyal has completed her primary education from Jaipur’s SMS Public School after which she graduated from the National Law University at Jodhpur with a Gold Medal in LLB. In 2016, she became an IRS and started her career and her first posting was that of Assistant Commissioner at Jaipur. From here she was promoted to Deputy Commissioner and transferred to Mumbai. The Certification of Appreciation accorded to her reads, “Awarded this certificate for rendering dedicated and meritorious service and promoting excellence in administration of GST.” Notably, Prateeti’s husband, Neeraj Agrawal, is also an IRS and is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner in Mumbai. Her father, PK Goyal, is serving as ACS, Education in Government of Rajasthan!
