Raje, Poonia, others to lead BJP

Jaipur: BJP has picked up 40 star campaigners for the by-election to Sardarshahar assembly seat in Churu. Among these, the name of BJP state president Satish Poonia is on the top. The second name is of former CM and National Vice-President Vasundhara Raje. Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria is at number three. Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, State in-charge Arun Singh, co-incharge Vijaya Rahatkar, Central Election Committee and State Core Committee member Om Prakash Mathur and state Organisation General Secretary Chandrashekhar are also among the campaigners. The surprising thing is that the BJP has included Narendra Kumar Khindhar and Rahul Kaswan, MPs from Churu and Jhunjhunu, two of the three districts of Shekhawati, in the list of campaigners. But the name of Sikar MP Sumedhanand Saraswati is missing. Similarly, the name of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has also not been included in the list of campaigners, despite him being BJP’s national spokesperson and MP. He has also been the former Union Information Public Relations Minister. He is a national office bearer. National Working Committee member Jaskaur Meena is also not in the list of campaigners. All the four Union Ministers from Rajasthan have been included in the election campaign. These include Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjunram Meghwal and Kailash Chowdhary. Apart from four Union Ministers, eight MPs — Kankamal Katara, Rajendra Gehlot, CP Joshi, Diya Kumari, Kirorilal Meena, Ghanshyam Tiwari, Rahul Kaswan, Narendra Khindhar have been included in the list.
