Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot will inaugurate the ‘Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana’ at Birla Auditorium on Thursday afternoon where he will distribute SIMs with smartphones and internet connectivity to women heads of Chiranjeevi families. Also, after the launching ‘Digital Sakhi Book’, he will address State level function.

In the first phase of the scheme, 40 lakh women beneficiaries will be distributed smartphones and SIM with data connectivity through telecom service providers authorized by TRAI. Beneficiaries will be able to choose the phone of their choice in camps. Rs 6,800 will be deposited in the e-wallet through DBT for smartphones and SIMs to the beneficiaries. Information related to smartphone distribution under the scheme can be obtained on the public information portal and toll free number 181. Also, your eligibility can be checked through Public Information Portal and E-Mitra Plus Machine.
