Rajasthan will follow PM Modi’s zero tolerance policy on corruption: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma
Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state govt will work following the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption of the country’s successful PM Narendra Modi. “We have to make our meaningful contribution in taking the light of development spread by the PM to every corner of the state. We have to move forward only on the vision of Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas,” he said while holding talks with senior officials of all departments at the Government Secretariat on Monday.
The meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister himself, took place in the conference hall of the Secretariat which was attended by Chief Secretary Usha Sharma and other senior officials.
This was Sharma’s first meeting with bureaucracy after taking oath as the CM. He said that our schemes, programs and policies should be effectively implemented and reach the common people.
“For this, we will have to work for the development of the state by keeping the spirit of service paramount at the grassroots level. Your role is important in taking the state forward. You are fortunate that you are getting the opportunity to serve the nation prominently,” he said.
Sharma called upon the administrative officers to work in public interest with meaningful participation and team spirit.
“Corruption-free administration, women’s safety and strong law and order are our priorities in the state. Effective monitoring of financial expenditure will be done so that every penny can be used for public welfare. Any kind of corruption will not be tolerated in administration,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that all the officers should study the manifesto Sankalp Patra (resolution letter) in detail. “It has been prepared based on the suggestions given by the common people for their upliftment. Aim of our government is to fulfill the promises made to the public in the resolution letter. It will act as a policy maker for you. We have to benefit the common people by preparing an effective action plan for the next 100 days on the basis of the resolution letter,” he said.
The CM instructed all the department officials to prepare a 100-day action plan in their respective departments and present it within 10 days.
He said the department officers should work keeping in mind the vision of the next 25 years. Sharma said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the Central Government is working with far-reaching thinking for the development of the country. Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is a good example of this.
“You have to work in the direction of how the state should develop in the next 25 years and how the state should become the best by facing all the challenges that will come in the future. For this, it is the responsibility of all of us to prepare an effective roadmap and implement it,” he said.
Sharma said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra launched by the PM has emerged as a transformative campaign to deliver beneficial schemes to the countrymen. “It is our priority that Rajasthan emerge as a leading state in the Yatra,” he said.
Chief Secretary Usha Sharma said that the team is committed to the development of Rajasthan state.
According to the vision given by the Chief Minister, work will be done by setting targets and preparing an action plan to achieve them. On this occasion, senior officers of all departments presented detailed details of department-wise work.
