Rajasthan: Two thousand 'tax mitra' to be appointed in State for depositing VAT-GST effortlessly

The Rajasthan government will appoint two thousand 'Tax Mitras' to make it easier to deposit Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Value Added Tax (VAT).

According to a government statement, the government will appoint two thousand tax mitra to facilitate the applicants in the application process. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal related to planning qualifications and fee fixation.

Gehlot has also given approval to develop 'Artificial Intelligence' (artificial intelligence) based e-tax officer software platform to provide first level facility of 'self tax check' to the businessmen. According to this, the minimum educational qualification for Tax Mitra is graduation in Commerce. Preference will be given to experienced applicants including Chartered Accountants (CA), Company Secretaries (CS). The age has been fixed at 21 to 40 years for the same.
